Dan Delaquis is a hard-working and highly regarded civil litigation lawyer. dan_delaquis_bioHe practices fluently in both French and English, primarily in the fields of insurance, personal injury, professional negligence, administrative, fisheries law and municipal law.

Dan is originally from Winnipeg, Manitoba. He moved to New Brunswick in the summer of 1991 where he completed a masters in History in Moncton. He was admitted to the bar in 1997 and became a partner of a well-established Saint John law firm in 2002. Dan has in-depth litigation experience having appeared before a variety of boards and tribunals, the Court of Queen’s Bench and Court of Appeal on numerous occasions.

Dan thrives on trial and appeal work and has successfully represented both individuals and corporations in court.

For over 10 years, Dan has been the lead instructor for the French section of the Civil Procedure Bar Admission Course. Dan is a member of the Canadian Bar Association Continuing Legal Education Committee. He is also a member of the Canadian Defence Lawyers Association as well as the Defence Research Institute (DRI). He has served on the organizing committee of the Canadian Bar Association Mid-Winter meetings in addition to chairing and giving conferences for the CBA and N.B. Law Society.

In September 2010, Dan was appointed to the Board of Regents at the Université de Moncton. He also has been a member of the Board of the Association Régionale de la Communauté francophone de Saint-Jean Inc. for the past 15 years.
